LoL has been working fine on my pc for the past few months as has csgo. I am using an amd a8-7650k processor with radeon r7 integrated graphics. I have recently installed the windows 10 anniversary update and for some reason after i installed the updateeverything was ok, but when trying to open the LoL patcher I would get a pvp.net kernel error.
It also would not uninstall giving me the error 'previous versions could not be removed contact technica support group'. Aswell as this my steam games would be verylaggy, i would sometimes drop down to 30fps on csgo whereas my normal would not go below 60fps. Has anyone else gotten this issue with league and games in general? I reset my pc and now everything works fine, but im cautious about the anniversary update now. Hi,Does this happen with other games as well or steam games?Since the anniversary update has just kick started in, there is yet to hear some emerging issues. Hello, thanks for the help.
So following the update being installed, i went back to my old build. The issue with league still occured (wouldnt let me uninstall after getting patch kernel errors).
So i reset my pc and came to the old build again (not theanniversary one) which i had always used and the lol patcher installed without any errors, as did steam and csgo worked completely fine and up to standard. Everything was fine. I upgraded to the latest version of windows again and thankfully league workedand i had no lag ingame and no change in fps. However, csgo would have a few problems. Sometimes directx wouldnt install for csgo, i got it to work by restarting steam and verifying game cache.
For some reason though, the csgo ingame menu would be quite laggy(the pointer seemed to be laggy when i moved it). I used command clshowfps 1 and saw i had 30fps in the game menu, but for some reason alt+tab'ing out and back in would make the menu more smooth at 120fps again. Also the game was a bit laggy, i would notget as many frames as i did in the old build, no idea why. Hi,I've also had the issue with CSGO.The fps issues are usually caused by a known issue with the new Xbox app Game DVR feature.Workaround / Resolution:- Open the Xbox App from the Start Menu.- Click the Settings icon in the lower left corner of the Xbox app window.- Click Game DVR.- Click the first switch to disable Game DVR.Without Game DVR running csgo should run at an unlimted, normal framerate.-I'm also seeing the pvp net patcher kernel stopped working error. The only successful workaround I can find is running the game as administrator. Clean Reinstalling the game does not help.Hopefully it may be fixed in a future update.
Having the exact same issue. To boot: FPS inexplicably capped at 60 (I've turned vsync off everywhere possible) and having an application that uses sound running concurrently with League causes severe sound lag and inevitably a frozen system, i.e. Manualreboot required.I have a very powerful machine that previously ran a number of applications with League frame rate rock-steady at around 200 FPS.I have run registry cleaners, reinstalled and/or updated sound and video drivers, all to no avail.
This is a major problem.
