After installing the version of Bitdefender Internet Security offered from the 60-second-virus-scanner plugin for Firefox from Bitdefender, a number of sites have stopped working. First, I am unable to change my homepage, for the connection will hang, and the website will not open. Also, attempting to connect to a number of websites (Google, Youtube, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo, etc.) creates this website:'Secure Connection FailedAn error occurred during a connection to. The server rejected the handshake because the client downgraded to a lower TLS version than the server supports.
(Error code: sslerrorinappropriatefallbackalert)The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.' In short, a lot of major websites are not working, and are severely impairing my ability to work. Bing does work as a search engine website that I can go to, but not as a homepage.

So because Windows Defender definitions can't still be updated, i decided to install bitdefender instead.
Everything went normal until my place suddenly got an electric shutdown. Bitdefender suddenly gone haywire after i turned my pc back on.
I can't scan disks or file individually by right-clicking it, i can't sign in unless i run the installer first (if i don't run it, i can't sign in as the button in the tray doesn't do anything), and it seems that i kept getting logged out everytime my PC turned off so it's pretty annoying. What's more, it seems that i can't uninstall bitdefender! There's no bitdefender in installed apps nor programs & features. Anyone please help me solve these problems or get rid of bitdefenderUPDATE: Bitdefender doesn't show up at Revo UninstallerUPDATE: I used the free version of BitdefenderEdited by Zooasaurus, 07 October 2017 - 03:27 AM. When unexpected issues arise with anti-virus software, I generally recommend a reinstall which resolves most problems.unless the product offers a ' Repair' option which you can try first. If that does not correct the issue, then an uninstall and use of the vendor's removal tool (if one is available) for performing a clean reinstall would be the next step.Well, i'm trying but the program doesn't appear on either Control Panel or Installed Programs. I've mentioned it in the postEdited by Zooasaurus, 07 October 2017 - 06:22 PM.
If there is no shortcut in Start → All Programs → Bitdefender Free Edition → Repair or Remove.then you can downloading the setup file again and try reinstalling over the existing installation. That should correct the missing shortcuts and registry entries and allow you to remove Bitdefender if the reinstall did not fix the problems/issues you described above.I've tried that, but in the end it said 'Product already installed, You are protected'. I've tried contacting the Costumer Care, but so far there's no helpful responseEdited by Zooasaurus, 07 October 2017 - 10:43 PM. Wesley BrantonYou are running Firefox 60, according to your stats on the forum. This version didn't automatically get the fix for the issue with the add-ons.You need to.
To fix the issue, if you have not done so already.Firefox versions since the 16.0.2 Release has not shown the minor version in UserAgent. Many LTS Linux distros tends to provided Firefox versions on ESR channel which is currently at 60.6.3esr. The UA for 60.6.3esr shows as if you have 60.0. The OP is likely perhaps using 60.6.1esr or older and not updated to 60.6.3esr or even 60.6.2esr to be getting this error.Actually if the user has changed the fingerprint preference from default one of the things it does is change the UA to appear as current ESR, in this case Firefox 60.0 ESR.
